Built at the end of the 15th century, the château de l’Herm was abandoned following a number of crimes. Later, Eugene Le Roy used it as the background for his novel “Jacquou Le Croquant” adapted for television in 1969, and for the cinema by Laurent Boutonnat in 2007.
This historic and romantic site offers you a chance of unforgettable discoveries, and will enchant you with its authentic history.
Today the location is living again thanks to the protection work undertaken , the archaeological research, and the concerts which liven up summer evenings.
